City and Guilds Professional Mechanics Training
The City and Guilds in Cycle Maintenance and Repair runs over ten full days - either two consecutive monday to friday weeks, or five weekends spread over a period of months.

Cost of the Course
Cost of the course is £990 plus VAT. The price includes all course materials and certification with City and Guilds.

Wheel Building Course
This course takes place over two days and covers the complete how-to of building yourself a bicycle wheel from scratch. Syllabus includes lacing, calculating spoke length and compatibility of components, tensioning and truing, dishing, and pre-stressing.
Suitable for complete beginners or mechanics with a lot of experience under their belts who nevertheless have never really learned this skill properly.
This course includes a City and Guilds Unit Certification in two units from the more lengthy professional mechanic's training.

The course costs £250 plus VAT, and this includes a City and Guilds Unit Certificate.
One Day Basic Maintenance Course
By popular demand we are rolling out these one day basic maintenance courses. Available to study at the Academy or, indeed, we will bring the lessons to your place or work or study.
Syllabus includes bearings, brakes, gears, tyres tubes and punctures. Specially tailored courses for particular groups (eg bicycle paramedics, where training on a specific type of bike is required, is also available.)
