Task Summary

There are several types of BMX BB.

Here we have given detailed steps of how to remove the cranks from a one-piece BB (US) crank. With a one-piece BMX BB the crank arm is threaded in the middle and acts as the spindle. The crank drive-side threading is right-hand, and the non drive-side is a left-handed thread. (For European and Spanish BMX crank removal, please see Task 03 - Removal of Cranks for Cotterless Systems - which can be found in the grey column at the right-hand side of the screen.)
