BB is a common acronym for a Bottom Bracket.
Task Summary
In all other respects, you can treat a BB30 or BB90 unit as an outboard BB.
However, when it comes to removing/refurbishing, you will need to remove the cranks and then drift out the bearings that lie in a sealed bearing race within the actual BB shell. There is no other part you need to worry about removing in a BB30.
