Task Summary
It is quicker and easier to replace the disk pads with the caliper still attached. For ease of viewing however we have removed the caliper from the bike to access the pads here. Also, although we have the caliper here with the cable still in it, some disc brakes will always need the cable detatching (please follow steps to follow) - it is always better to check the manufacturer instructions for specific components.
