Task Summary

Front

To route the cable through to a cantilever brake on a straight bar bike, first follow the steps to route the cable. Next, make sure you have measured and prepared your cable housing. You are then able to follow the steps here to route your cable correctly down to the straddle before going on to tension the brake.

Rear

For the rear brake, once again you must cut and prepare your cable housing length (please see links above). You can then follow the steps to route to a cantilever rear brake on a drop bar bike as, once you have taken the cable through the straight bar lever, everything else is exactly the same.
